About A Walk to Remember:
A Walk to Remember was written by Nicholas Sparks in the late 90's. It describes the innocence of first love and is set in the 1950s in Beaufort, North Carolina. The story is told through the eyes of teenager Landon Carter. However, the movie differs a bit from the book. It is set in the 90's, and there for most everything has changed; but it still follows the same basic plot. I'm afraid to say too much more for fear of giving away the plot if you haven't seen it.

About Jamie:
Jamie Sullivan is the Reverend's daughter. Her clothes are not too fashionable; but she's never cared what people thought of her. She always seems to do the right thing. Jamie's dearest possession is her Mother's well worn Bible. Her life's to do list included things like: be in two places at once, spend a year in the Peace Corps, make a medical discovery, get a tattoo, and witness a miracle. As for the number one item on her list, as Jamie says, "I'd tell you, but then I'd have to kill you."
Her life was going along fine until one day she met Landon. She'd known him all her life; but they'd never really hung out until circumstances forced them. "You have to promise you won't fall in love with me," she'd said. The request seemed odd; but little did Landon know of the reason behind it. She taught him about more about life and love then he could have imagined. Even through the rough journey ahead Jamie never lost her unfailing faith.
